About Me

Hello my name is Ellis and I like building websites. I am passionate about sustainability, accessibility, and building a more equitable world. I have earned a graduate degree in Art + Design from the Design College at North Carolina State University. My studies are focused on Interaction Design, Web Design, Visual Storytelling, and Media Theory.

Wildforms is a project I started back in 2014 when I knew very little about making websites or creating digital media. I got my first URL and started down my journey of digital media creation. Along the way I’ve learned a lot about designing for the web, researching best practices, experimentation, project planning, and more. Born out of an interest in self-publishing, a lot of curiosity, and a bit of forward thinking, wildforms is always changing as fun new things happen. I love the potential of the internet and enjoy engaging with this is medium in so many ways. The internet invites collaboration, it’s the worlds most accessible platform for independent media, open source projects, and small business growth. I’m excited about virtual spaces on the web, the potential for websites to host more and more interesting media experiences, and using design thinking in creating intuitive interactions for diagetic spaces. We have barely brushed the surface and there’s so much more good work to get done.

Making digital content for good, to further connect people and ideas, that’s the vision. Kerouac said, “the only forms my mind can hold are wildforms”. The internet is a fascinating place, full of wild forms.
